The United States Supreme Court recently held that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not authorize the President to impose tariffs. However, companies’ ability to secure refunds on amounts collected under IEEPA is uncertain. Meanwhile, new tariff-related proposals in Congress could impact global supply chain structures.
