Sonja Beier LL.M.Counsel
Sonja Beier focuses her practice on advising national and international clients on real estate transactions in the form of acquisition and sale. Further she is very experienced in drafting and negotiating commercial lease agreements.
She has extensive experience with complex international real estate portfolio transactions involving mostly commercial properties such as office buildings, hotels and healthcare properties. Further she frequently advises on all real estate aspects of M&A transactions.
Since the start of her practice Sonja advises on all aspects of real estate transactions such us negotiating the sale and purchase agreement, structuring and coordinating the due diligence process. She is very experienced in managing and driving forward national and cross border transactions involving various jurisdictions.

Sonja has been admitted as a lawyer (Rechtsanwältin) since 2012. Before joining DLA Piper she worked for more than 5 years in the real estate teams of a major German law firm in Dusseldorf and an American law firm in Frankfurt. During her legal clerkship she worked in the US for an international law firm.
Having developed an interest in real estate law early in law school Sonja has focused her entire education and career on real estate law. This included a Master of Law in Real Estate Law.
