EXPERIENCE

  • Advising KKR and a joint venture comprising KKR’s vertically-integrated European hospitality platform, Amante Capital and The Baupost Group, on the acquisition of a portfolio of 33 Marriott International hotels across the UK from a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).
  • Advising QuadReal Property Group on the acquisition of a GBP500m eight-asset, 3,460 bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) portfolio from Apollo-managed funds and entities.
  • Advising US life sciences investor, Longfellow Real Estate Partners, on the formation of its GBP 1.5 billion tripartite joint venture with PSP and Norges Bank in connection with the acquisition and development of life science real estate assets in the UK.
  • Advising Cheyne Capital and its joint venture with Stanhope Plc on the acquisition of the Red Lion Court office development site from Landsec with a GDV of GBP450m and related JV arrangements. The scheme will comprise two basement levels and 11 floors above ground, delivering c. 235,000 sq ft of highly flexible office space, along with 15,000 sq ft of retail and F&B space.
  • Acting for KKR through its real estate European living-sector platform, Inhabeo, on the acquisition from Legal & General (L&G) of the build-to-rent (BtR) portfolio known as The Slate Yard, Manchester, for over GBP100m, comprising 270,000sqft of 424 residential units within three UK BTR properties.
  • Advising Nuveen Real Estate on behalf of its European Value Add strategy on its joint venture with Storage King in connection with its acquisition of the Easistore self storage portfolio.
  • Advising Cheyne Capital on its joint ventures with Dominus in respect of the acquisition and development of 65 Fleet Street into an 875-bed student living scheme and the acquisition and development of Ibex House into a 382-key hotel.
  • Acting for AXA Investment Managers Alts on the acquisition of a 758 bed PBSA scheme, Vita Lewisham, marking its first PBSA acquisition in London.
