DLA Piper at IPEM Cannes 2025

From 28 January to 30 January, 22 of our lawyers from France, Belgium, and Morocco shared insights and connected with delegates from across Europe at IPEM Private Equity and Venture Capital in Cannes.

This year, IPEM brought together 3,500 participants, including 500 General Partners (GPs), 500 institutional investors (LPs), and 250 private banks, multi-family offices, and wealth managers. On this occasion, our partners covering all range of Private Equity cycle from across sectors, engaged in meaningful discussions with industry leaders.

We were delighted to sponsor this event for the ninth consecutive year, welcoming over 120 clients, colleagues and friends to our traditional cocktail reception, an opportunity to strengthen our network. Our annual beachside lunch also provided a relaxed setting for valuable exchanges with industry peers.

With the investment funds industry undergoing unprecedented change and growth, our global reach, local market knowledge, and deep understanding of the sectors in which our clients operate allow us to stay ahead of the curve and address these challenges effectively.

This year's Sandra Esquiva-Hesse, Partner, Restructuring & Special Situations, and Guillaume-Denis Faure, Partner, Litigation & Regulatory, were interviewed by Bogdan Kowal for CFNEW TV. They commented on the rise in the importance of expertise in recent months.

And Sarmad Haidar, Partner and Co-Head of the Private Equity department at DLA Piper France, commented on the latest legal and tax news in his sector during an interview on CFNEWS.TV.
