Kyndra Casper and Holly R. Lake named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s Thriving in Their 40s list
DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Kyndra Casper, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate practice, and Holly R. Lake, a partner in the Employment practice, have been named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2020 Thriving in Their 40s list, which recognizes 95 Los Angeles-based professionals who “serve as terrific examples of trusted advisors whose services the businesses of Los Angeles simply cannot do without.”
Casper's practice focuses on land use and environmental matters, including project management, obtaining development entitlements, land use due diligence, administrative proceedings and litigation. She assists land owners and developers through all stages of the entitlement and development process, providing counsel on local planning and zoning regulations and related environmental matters as well as counseling on community outreach and media strategies. She also advises on land use and environmental regulations, including the California Subdivision Map Act, state CEQA streamlining laws and density bonus laws.
Lake is an employment litigator and advisor. She has a breadth of experience defending clients in all aspects of employment law and related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge and wage-and-hour matters. She has extensive experience leading legal teams on large-scale class, collective and private attorney general representative actions under California laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Title VII. She also advises clients on matters related to OFCCP compliance and affirmative action program development.
