DLA Piper advises EQT Ventures on a seed round in tech start-up Wonder

DLA Piper has advised EQT Ventures on its investment in Berlin-based tech start-up Wonder in a 9 million Euro seed round. In addition to EQT Ventures, other backers include Blueyard.

Wonder has developed an app for online networking, where users chat with each other in a virtual room via video. Unlike most video chat apps, Wonder enables a dynamic interaction where multiple chats can be running in parallel. This allows informal conversations in real life to be recreated virtually.

EQT Ventures is the venture capital fund of Swedish private equity fund EQT Partners. EQT Ventures invests globally in fast-growing, innovative and technology-driven companies across all sectors, with a focus on Europe and the US.

The DLA Piper team led by Partner Andreas Füchsel (Private Equity/M&A, Frankfurt) also comprised of senior associates Philipp Groll (Private Equity/M&A, Frankfurt), Philippa Eggers (IPT, Munich) and Kaja Herrmann (Employment, Frankfurt) as well as associates Dr. Theresa Ntinas, Alexander Hagikian (both Frankfurt) and Lucas Blum (all IPT, Munich).
