Petros is an Associate in DLA Piper’s Corporate Crime and Investigations team. Petros supports organisations in navigating complex national and multi-jurisdictional investigations, regulatory and compliance risk matters, and high-stakes criminal proceedings.

Petros advises on a range of matters including suspected bribery, fraud, and money laundering in contentious and regulatory proceedings. He also advises on compliance policies and procedures, conducting compliance risk assessments and due diligence in the context of high-value corporate transactions.

  • Conducting an internal investigation for a prestigious UK university into allegations of misconduct involving tax irregularities and the handling of significant charitable donations, including a review of governance, and decision‑making processes. 
  • Assisting a major sports organisation in making an application before the Magistrates’ Court relating to discharging an account freezing order made by the National Crime Agency.
  • Advising a global spirits company on a comprehensive compliance risk assessment of its UK operations, assessing controls across anti‑bribery and corruption, fraud, and the facilitation of tax evasion.
  • Advising a NASDAQ‑listed company on global enforcement risks arising from alleged cross‑border VAT fraud, including the potential exposure under UK and EU regimes.
  • Supporting on a high-profile product liability and personal injury claim, representing a US industrials client in criminal and regulatory investigations, following a Public Inquiry.
