Sarmad Haidar has an extensive experience in Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions transactions.

He also has a deep knowledge in the areas of restructurings, external growth transactions and setting up of investment agreements for management.

Sarmad mostly advises investment funds, industrial groups, listed and non-listed, and management teams.

He has expertise across a broad spectrum of industry sectors (Consumer Goods, IT, Renewable Energy and Infrastructure, Healthcare, Hotels & Leisure).

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising La Maison Partners in connection with the strategic reorganization of its shareholding structure.
  • Advising Mérieux Equity Partners, BNP Paribas, Cerea Partners and the management team in connection with the build-up of portfolio company Plantex with Nactarome, a European leader in natural taste, flavor and color solutions for the food and nutraceutical industries.
  • Advising the Evergreen Group in connection with the sale of the Evergreen Laurel Hotel to the Barceló Hotels Group.
  • Advising Novomatic on the acquisition of the French group Vikings Casinos.
  • Advising Symphony Technology Group (STG) on the agreement to sell Trace One to Main Capital Partners, a European private equity fund focused on B2B software.
  • Advising Mérieux Equity Partners on the acquisition of Curea Medical, a German-based medtech company specializing in advanced wound care products.
  • Advising Symphony Technology Group (STG) and the shareholders of Sciforma, a portfolio company of STG, on the sale of Sciforma to Planview, a US-based global leader in work and portfolio management software 
  • Advising Mérieux Equity Partners, alongside founder Alain Sainsot and other minority shareholders, on the sale of GTP Bioways Group to Olon, an Italian global leader in active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) development and manufacturing.
  • Advising White Summit Capital on its €150 million equity and debt investment in Powesco, a French provider of Energy Efficiency-as-a-Service solutions (ESCO). 
  • Advising Symphony Technology Group (STG) on the acquisition from Eurazeo, BPI, Sofiouest and the founders of Klaxoon, a French-based global collaboration solutions provider, through its portfolio company, Wrike Inc.
