Tom advises clients on a broad range of corporate transactions including public and private M&A, joint ventures and strategic investments. He has particular experience coordinating complex, multi-jurisdictional due diligence exercises and structuring cross-border deals.

Tom recently completed a six-month secondment to Shell, where he worked within the litigation team on high-value corporate disputes, gaining insight into the full life cycle of joint ventures and projects.

Earlier in his career, Tom undertook a six-month secondment to the Corporate group of DLA Piper Middle East LLP in Dubai, where he advised on joint ventures and M&A across a range of sectors, further strengthening his international transactional experience

  • Acting for KKR on its acquisition of a portfolio of 33 hotels located in England and Scotland managed by Marriott International worth approx. GBP900m.
  • Acting for KKR on its acquisition of Build-to-Rent accommodation in Manchester worth approx. GBP100m.
  • Advising Longfellow Real Estate Partners on a GBP2.2bn joint venture with PSP Investments and Norges Bank Investment Management investing in life science and innovation real estate across the UK.
  • Advising John Menzies Aviation plc in respect of the recommended cash offer by Gil International Holdings V Limited.
  • Acting for Science Group plc in respect of its recommended cash offer to acquire TP Group plc.
