José Ignacio Basualto concentrates his practice on tax law, advising national and international clients in the structuring of businesses and companies, as well as individuals.

He has vast experience in tax litigation and defense of taxpayers in all stages of the process before the Tax and Customs Courts, the Internal Revenue Service (SII), and the tax authority.

In addition, he has advised several entities in tax planning, compliance, dispute resolution, and contract review.

  • A fintech startup in drafting and developing all the company's data protection and cybersecurity policies to comply with the requirements established in the new Fintech regulation for the start of its application for authorization before the CMF
  • A subsidiary of a major global airline that provides aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification services in analysing the regulatory and tax/customs treatment applicable to imports and exports in Chile
