With a broad-based commercial litigation and bankruptcy practice, Virginia Callahan represents financial institutions, lessors, debtors, and other secured and unsecured creditor clients in a wide variety of general commercial disputes and restructuring matters.

Virginia regularly represents and advises clients regarding complex business reorganizations, with a particular concentration on restructuring litigation and commercial disputes.

Virginia also maintains an active pro bono practice. She regularly works with the National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) to provide pro bono legal services to veterans seeking Combat-Related Special Compensation.

  • Represented cryptocurrency holders in a US$291 million dispute over the estimation of the value of the tokens in a major bankruptcy case
  • Represented stalking-horse bidder in a US$200 million post-closing dispute regarding purchase of assets from Chapter 11 debtor; awarded "Healthcare/Life Sciences Deal of the Year Award" by The M&A Advisor
  • Represented a trucking company and certain of its subsidiaries, in connection with their chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware
  • Represented a medical device company in connection with their chapter 11 cases in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, which was the first bankruptcy case in the country to attribute COVID-19 as one of the factors leading to the filing; awarded the "2021 TMA Turnaround/Transaction of the Year Award" by the Turnaround Management Association
