Prior to joining the Corporate team in London, Valerie was a member of the DLA Piper Corporate team in Vienna, Austria, for over six years.

  • Advising a group of investors led by NOIA Capital on the acquisition of the defence business of virtual worlds company Improbable Defence in the UK.
  • Advising Chinese listed Jiecang Group on its acquisition of the Logicdata Group headquartered in Austria.
  • Advising the Chinese PE house Wise Road Capital on the establishment of a high-tech joint venture with the leading Austrian advanced sensor manufacturer AMS.
  • Advising US listed Fortive Corporation, a spin-off of US listed Danaher Inc., on the Austrian part of the global-scale acquisition of the Advanced Sterilization division of Johnson & Johnson.
  • Advising a global business consulting firm on several cross-jurisdictional intra-group transactions involving an Austrian group company including transactional legs spanning several European jurisdictions.
  • Advising Experian, a global provider of data analysis services and offering various analytical tools, credit reports to clients, and marketing services for commercial customers internationally, on the Austrian part of the sale of the worldwide cross channel marketing business of Experian to Vector Capital.
  • Advising Danaher Corporation throughout the entire auction process for the intended acquisition of leading Austrian dental tech company Amann Girrbach from TA Associates.
  • Advising Zoetis Inc, the world market leader for animal health products, on the acquisition of the Upper Austrian agricultural tech company Smartbow.
  • Advising the mobile communications corporation Qualcomm on the Austrian part of the establishment of a multinational joint venture with TDK Corporation, a Japanese manufacturer of electronic components.
  • Advising UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions (UBIS) on the sale of its card processing activities to the Italian technology company SIA group.
