Natalie Thorn is a legal director in the Finance and Projects team. Natalie has a broad range of experience advising clearing banks, insurance funds, alternative debt funds, developers and property companies in the UK and internationally with a focus on real estate finance.

She advises on a variety of asset classes including mixed residential and commercial developments, hotels, student accommodation, retail and commercial office space. She has completed client secondments to The Hong Kong Shanghai Bank Limited in Hong Kong and Aviva Investors in London.

  • Acting for Aviva Investors on their GBP235m refinancing of a portfolio of prime London office assets with Lazari Investments.
  • Advising Harrison Street and its JV partners in relation to their UK and European financings across a variety of asset classes including PBSA, BTR and science parks.
  • Advising Proprium Real Estate Special Situations Fund, L.P. in connection with the refinancing of two student housing schemes in Milan and the financing of the development of one of those schemes.
  • Acting for ICG in connection with a development financing for the delivery of a BTR scheme as part of the Brent Cross Town masterplan in North London featuring 249 new rental homes.
  • Acting for Aareal Bank in connection with the EUR287 million, GBP40 million and SEK507 million financing of a European hotel portfolio for the Archer Group.
  • Acting for a private equity real estate sponsor on its refinancing of a portfolio of UK PBSA assets.
  • Advising Aareal Bank in respect of a c. EUR200 million financing for the acquisition of a pan-European hotel portfolio including hotels in Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Florence, Prague, and Rome.
  • Acting for Oval Real Estate on its GBP136m refinancing of 7 Grade A office assets with Just Group plc.
  • Acting for a global real estate lender on its financing of a portfolio of European and UK logistics assets.
  • Acting for a private equity sponsor and its JV partner in connection with the refinancing of a Spanish leisure asset.
