Michele Adeleye

Ad-eh-layManaging Director
About

Michele Adeleye has two decades of in-house legal leadership experience in a global Fortune 50 pharmaceutical company supporting litigation, emerging markets, global product support and digital teams. In her most immediate previous role, she was responsible for helping the pharmaceutical company drive intentional artificial intelligence (AI) transformation efforts and provided both leadership and training to the lawyers. She supported an in-house build team on the company's first in-the-wild launch of a GenAI product and provided regular advice, counseling and training to numerous build teams for the business. Now, she brings that expertise into DLA Piper and helps companies articulate how and why they are reimagining legal work to help clients understand how PiperAI products and services can address their needs. Any process can be automated but that does not mean the work has been reimagined. In order to be successful in an AI transformation in any sector, both the work and the flow have to be reimagined.

"I listen to the problem and seek to understand the culture, the goals and the pain points of a legal department. I extrapolate the why from the how to continually focus on the ultimate stakeholder benefit."

Michele is a lawyer but is not practicing law in her role as Managing Director.
