DLA Piper advises Aradei Capital in its strategic partnership with Akdital Immo and BFO in Morocco

DLA Piper advised Aradei Capital, a leading Moroccan real estate company listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, in connection with its acquisition of a 51% stake in Akdital Immo, a company created in 2020 to support the development strategy of the Akdital group beyond the city of Casablanca. Under the terms of the agreement, and as part of a capital increase of Akdital Immo, the Akdital Group will hold 32% and BFO Partners the remaining 17%. Completion of the transaction remains subject to obtaining the required regulatory approvals.

Joining forces with this investment, Akdital, Aradei Capital and BFO Partners’ objective is to develop healthcare establishments in Morocco that meet international standards. Akdital Immo is planning a private clinic investment program of around MAD1 billion in 2021-2023, seeking to provide an additional capacity of 900 beds located in 7 cities across Morocco.

Aradei Capital’s investment is part of the real estate company’s wider strategy to develop a new class of asset, healthcare. This transaction also allows Aradei Capital to diversify its tenants by integrating a leading healthcare operator.
