Jessica Zajda is a banking and finance lawyer with experience acting for both lenders and borrowers on a range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions including, acquisition and leveraged finance, real estate finance, corporate lending and growth finance.

Jessica regularly advises the main UK banks, European banks, private equity investors, funds and corporate borrowers across a range of sectors, including financial services, technology, infrastructure, hotels and real estate.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advised renowned international healthcare provider UPMC on its acquisition of the Sports Surgery Clinic (SSC), an independent hospital located in Santry in Dublin, Ireland.
  • Advised a leading real estate investment management firm, Harrison Real Estate Capital LLC, in connection with its joint venture (JV) partnership with a global real estate investment company, to develop and acquire purpose-built student accommodation assets across Ireland.
  • Acted as legal counsel to the lenders on the secured EUR42.5m refinancing of a hotel in central Dublin, together with DLA colleagues in London and Luxembourg.
  • Acting for a leading bank in the provision of venture debt / growth finance to various technology companies with operations in the UK, the US and elsewhere.
  • Advising leading UK hotelier on the refinancing of four hotels with a GBP55m debt facility.
  • Providing Scottish support to the DLA Paris and Amsterdam teams assisting a pool of lenders led by Société Générale on financing the acquisition of the workboat business of Dutch group Acta Marine by French group Jifmar.
