Paul Doris has over 20 years’ experience of representing financial investors, corporates, utilities, and financial institutions on domestic (U.K.) and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity transactions.

He advises clients across a range of sectors, particularly energy, energy transition, infrastructure, technology, telecommunications, chemicals, healthcare, and natural resources. 

Paul has practiced English corporate law in London, Madrid, Frankfurt, and Paris, and advised on transactions throughout Western, Central and Eastern Europe, and in Latin and Central America, Sub-Saharan Africa, the MENA region, Asia, and Australasia. 

Fluent in Spanish, and with a broad knowledge of Spanish corporate law, he regularly advises international clients on mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures involving Spain and Latin America.

Paul is recommended for Infrastructure (M&A and acquisition financing) and Power (including electricity and nuclear) transactions by The Legal 500 UK.

  • Advising a leading developer and operator of large-scale data centre infrastructure assets on the establishment of a EUR2bn joint venture with a leading global renewable power producer for the development and operation of data centres in Spain.
  • Advising a leading developer of green methanol projects on a USD100m combined investment by ENEOS Corporation, Japan’s leading energy company, A.P. Moller Holding and A.P. Moller -– Maersk to fund the development of its global green methanol portfolio.
  • Advising an international data centre provider on a proposed joint venture with a multinational renewable energy group in relation to solar PV, onshore wind, and energy storage projects.
  • Advising an energy-focused private equity firm and a multinational integrated energy company on their proposed acquisition of a leading European independent power producer.
  • Advising an international carbon recycling group on the funding and development of its sustainable aviation fuel projects.
