Two partner promotions in DLA Piper's Warsaw office
As of 1 May 2025, DLA Piper will have two new partners in its Warsaw office: Piotr Miller, who will become an equity partner in the Corporate practice, and Michał Gajdus, who will be promoted to partner in the Intellectual Property and Technology practice. Both lawyers are being promoted from within the firm. They are both highly experienced professionals with a long-standing commitment to the development of DLA Piper’s key practices and are valued by both clients and by the firm's international teams.
“Piotr's and Michał's promotions are an excellent example of our consistent strategy to build a strong, diverse partner structure based on long-term talent development. A look at their career paths demonstrates our ability to effectively identify and support leaders who not only deliver the highest quality legal advice, but also set the stage for the development of our key practices,” commented Jacek Giziński, Co-Managing Partner of DLA Piper's Warsaw office.
Piotr Miller has been with DLA Piper since 2018. He has extensive experience in providing strategic support to the firm’s key clients from a wide range of business sectors, with a particular focus on transactional advice. His promotion to equity partner reflects his engagement and success in executing significant transactions, both on the Polish market and in cross-border projects. Piotr has been consistently recognised in international legal rankings – most recently as a Recommended Lawyer in the Commercial, Corporate and M&A, and Private Equity categories of the Legal 500 EMEA 2025 edition.
Piotr Miller said:
“I would like to thank the firm’s clients and partners for their invaluable presence and full support throughout the journey to this stage of my professional life. In my new role, I intend to further develop the firm’s M&A offering, with a particular focus on complex transaction processes for global strategic investors and private equity funds. I want to build integrated project teams to support clients at every stage of their development plans.”
Michał Gajdus has extensive experience in conducting proceedings before national courts and international arbitral tribunals, the Court of Justice of the European Union, and the European Court of Human Rights. His promotion to partner highlights the growing importance of the Intellectual Property and Technology practice within the firm’s structures and its strategic development in response to market needs. Michał is regularly recognised in international legal rankings – including as a Recommended Lawyer in Dispute Resolution and IP (Legal 500) and Bronze Ranked Litigator (IAM Patent 1000).
Michał Gajdus said:
“I am grateful for the trust and support I have received from the team and the partners of the firm. It is my goal to further strengthen the Intellectual Property and Technology practice through the development of specialised IP litigation and strategic litigation services. I believe that the combination of in-depth legal knowledge, litigation experience and technological expertise makes it possible today to have a real impact on the success of our clients’ businesses – and that is what I am aiming for in my new role.”
“My sincere congratulations to Piotr and Michał on their well-deserved promotions. This is a special moment both in their careers and in the development of our law firm. Their track record and commitment are the best proof that consistency, passion and a client-focused approach provide the foundation for long-term success. I wish them all the best in their new roles and in the further development of the practices of which they are key players – for the benefit of our clients and the firm as a whole,” concluded Krzysztof Kycia, Co-Managing Partner of DLA Piper's Warsaw office.
