She has built a strong reputation in the insurance sector, particularly in Poland, for her capabilities in warranty and indemnity (W&I) and tax risk insurance. Ewelina is recognized for her innovative approach to tax insurance, which combines legal, financial, and insurance knowledge to address complex tax uncertainties.

She also provides comprehensive tax support to clients in transaction processes, including conducting due diligence reviews as part of M&A transactions.

EXPERIENCE

  • Representing clients, before tax authorities and in court, in tax proceedings related to VAT and CIT, including transfer pricing, as well as penal fiscal proceedings.
  • Advising clients on breaches of the Fiscal Penal Code.
  • Advising clients from the insurance sector on issuing W&I policies for transactional risks as well as tax insurance policies. Provided support for roughly 100 W&I insurance policies.
  • Advising clients on tax issues related to reorganizations, especially mergers and demergers, including analyzing the tax implications of reorganization processes, preparing and submitting applications for tax rulings, and drafting written justifications for mergers and demergers.
  • Providing clients with ongoing advice, especially regarding solutions to tax issues related to their work with contractors, as well as advice on structuring their business activities.
