Shinong Wang is a member of DLA Piper’s global Investment Management & Funds group and heads the investment funds practice in the Greater China region and Hong Kong.

Shinong advises clients on the structuring and formation of private investment funds and hedge funds, including co-investment arrangements and separate accounts. Shinong also represents institutional investors in their investments in private investment funds, separate accounts, co-investments and secondary transactions. In addition, Shinong represents clients in secondary transactions, including GP-led recapitalization/continuation of investment funds.

Shinong also advises clients on U.S. securities laws and Hong Kong regulatory matters.

Prior to joining DLA Piper, Shinong was a partner in another leading international law firm.

  • Advising Baring Private Equity Asia in structuring a continuation fund that features transfer of a portfolio company from its existing fund.*
  • Advising Kunling Capital, a PRC-based sponsor, in the recapitalization of its RMB fund assets and formation of a USD continuation fund.*
  • Advising Navis Capital in structuring a USD450m continuation fund vehicle that features transfer of five companies from its existing fund.*
