DLA Piper appoints Ana Belén Martell as Of Counsel and Head of the Intellectual Property and Life Sciences practices in Peru
DLA Piper announced the appointment of Ana Belén Martell as Of Counsel and Head of the Intellectual Property and Life Sciences practices in its Lima office. Martell’s appointment strengthens the firm’s ability to provide local and international clients with comprehensive, highly focused services in protecting innovation, managing regulatory risks, and safeguarding strategic assets.
With more than 16 years of experience in intellectual property and seven years in life sciences, Martell has built a recognized career in managing trademark and patent portfolios. She handles complex IP litigation, develops regulatory strategies for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, and advises on technology-driven innovation.
In addition to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, Martell counsels consumer goods and financial companies in designing strategies to protect and defend their innovation and represents clients in trademark and patent disputes before national and international authorities. She also actively participates in academic and professional forums and serves as a lecturer and speaker on topics related to intellectual property applied to innovation, health, and biotechnology.
