DLA Piper expands Abu Dhabi presence with new ADGM office

Global law firm DLA Piper has announced plans to expand its presence in Abu Dhabi with the opening of a new, larger office in Al Maryah Tower within the ADGM, the international financial centre of Abu Dhabi, the Capital of the United Arab Emirates. Set to open in 2026, the 2,250 sq. ft. office on Al Maryah Island marks a significant increase in the firm’s local footprint.

The move represents a major milestone in the firm’s continued investment and growth across the Middle East. Expanding in the UAE’s capital will enhance the firm’s regional capabilities and complement its existing seven offices in Dubai, Riyadh, Al-Khobar, Doha, Manama and Muscat, further strengthening its ability to support clients in one of the region’s key economic hubs.

The announcement coincides with DLA Piper’s 20th anniversary in the Middle East, where the firm has advised on complex transactions, regulatory matters, and high-level disputes for two decades. As one of the world’s largest law firms with deep regional experience, the new ADGM office will enable DLA Piper to bring the power of its global platform and capabilities even closer to clients in Abu Dhabi, reinforcing its ability to deliver world-class legal services in the Middle East.

Peter Somekh, Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa, commented, “Relocating to a larger premises in the ADGM reflects our confidence in Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading financial and business hub.
