Ryan Hanofee focuses his practice on commercial real estate, serving clients in the real estate industry and those whose business models use real estate as a strategic asset. His experience includes transactions ranging from several million to multiple billion dollars. He represents local and national developers, institutional and non-institutional lenders and investors, family offices, private equity firms, sports franchises, and other owners and operators of real estate. 

Ryan has experience with joint ventures, debt financings, acquisitions, dispositions, and development-related matters across the United States in a wide range of asset classes. 

Ryan takes a practical approach to advising clients, never losing sight of each client's strategic goals and ultimate objectives. Clients rely on him to efficiently analyze and solve complicated problems in an ever-changing industry.

EXPERIENCE

  • Represented a real estate investment management company in the acquisition and financing of two multifamily portfolios totaling approximately US$2 billion
  • Represented an international investment firm in the acquisition, joint venture, and debt financing of a US$100 million industrial portfolio in New Jersey
  • Represented a private equity firm in the US$270 million portfolio refinancing of 69 commercial (office, industrial, and flex) properties
  • Represented a developer in acquisition, joint venture, and construction financing for a US$200 million mixed-use life sciences facility located in the greater Boston area
  • Represented a real estate investment management company in the acquisition, joint venture, and construction financing for the development of a 1.6 million square-foot. industrial center in Texas
  • Represented a developer in three separate joint ventures for the redevelopment and repositioning of multiple shopping malls located in Los Angeles and Burlington, Vermont, totaling more than 1.7 million square feet
  • Represented a developer in the acquisition, joint venture, and financing of a more than US$100 million redevelopment related to several multifamily and industrial buildings in greater Boston
  • Represented a warehouse operator in the lease of an 800,000 square-foot distribution center
  • Represented an international investment firm in the acquisition, joint venture and debt financing of a US$50 million industrial portfolio in Chicago, Illinois 
  • Represented family office in multiple programmatic joint ventures for residential developments and build to rent communities across the United States
