EXPERIENCE

Sofía counseled a global agribusiness group on the structuring of a capital increase through an in-kind contribution of know-how. Her advice covered valuation requirements, corporate approvals, and regulatory filings before the Argentine corporate regulator.

She also advised an agribusiness group in a high-profile bidding process that raised conflict-of-interest concerns, as one director was simultaneously part of a prospective bidder and of the committee selecting the awardee. 

In addition, she participated in the negotiation and M&A process of a leading international chemicals manufacturer, a global leader in water-soluble polymers used in water treatment, mining, energy, and agriculture. Her role included drafting and reviewing corporate documentation, coordinating regulatory requirements, and supporting the transaction closing in Argentina.

Sofía has assisted clients in a broad range of corporate matters, including company formations, statutory reforms, shareholder meetings, board renewals, and ongoing compliance before the Argentine corporate regulator
