Connor Rowinski focuses his practice on the defense of complex class action litigation. His practice spans a wide range of business sectors and includes the representation of leading technology, food and beverage, airline, entertainment, and other companies in high-profile litigation. He has special expertise in helping CPG brands – at all stages of their life cycle – navigate class action litigation and reduce risk.

Connor also maintains an active pro bono practice. He is representing Tennessee residents in a class action lawsuit involving the State of Tennessee's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which aims to ensure better access to food security for the state's residents. He has also helped several combat veterans obtain service-connected disability awards before the United States Court of Veterans Appeals.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Defeated class certification in a putative class action lawsuit against a private non-profit university arising from cancellation of in-person classes during Covid-19
  • Secured dismissal of a putative class action against a global airline company related to its flight cancellation policies
  • Secured dismissal of a putative class action lawsuit against an entertainment company involving deceptive pricing allegations
  • Secured dismissal of several putative class action lawsuits against a leading bottled water company involving alleged microplastic contaminations
  • Representing a food manufacturer in defense of twenty putative nationwide class actions brought by consumers in the Southern District of New York alleging false advertising in regard to the presence of trace elements in baby food
  • Represented a majority shareholder in a corporate takeover and governance dispute involving a publicly held foreign corporation that spanned numerous arbitral and court proceedings across three countries
  • Represented a biotechnology company in a putative securities class action
