This panel explored ESG, sustainability, and legal risks amid rising demand for critical minerals. The speakers addressed regulatory gaps and liability exposure in uncharted jurisdictions as well as financial challenges around ESG due diligence and capital access.
Co-hosted by LabStart and Activate, this event was focused on bold funding strategies for climate, bringing together entrepreneurs, funders, and thought leaders to explore capital mobilization from lab to launch, as well as emphasizing the role of philanthropy and innovation ecosystems in scaling climate solutions.
This event focused on capital deployment for climate initiatives with former Ambassador P. Michael McKinley sharing his diplomatic insights on Brazil’s COP30 role, and covered nature finance, forest restoration, and geopolitical dynamics shaping ESG and sustainability.

DLA Piper hosted an exclusive New York Climate Week program focused on California’s climate bills and the potential implications for professional service firms.
Co-hosted by the Ad Hoc Group, Latitude Media, The Lightsmith Group, Convective Capital, and Congruent Ventures, the panelists explored investor priorities in resilience tech amid rising extreme weather threats as well as connected investors and tech providers shaping the future of climate and grid resilience.
This event examined the trajectory from COP29 to COP30 and Brazil’s presidency priorities; the discussion included climate finance, carbon markets, and trade policy while emphasizing corporate roles in disclosure, target setting, and transition planning.
