DLA Piper named Legal Advisor of the Year at Moroccan Private Equity conference

DLA Piper Morocco has been recognised as the Legal Advisor of the Year in the Mid-Cap segment at the 10th annual Conférence du Capital Investissement au Maroc, organised by L'Association Marocaine des Investisseurs en Capital (AMIC). AMIC is a professional association recognised by the country’s capital markets authority, with a focus on promoting private equity (PE) activities. The award is a testament to DLA Piper's exceptional client work in collaboration with PE firms with local and cross border interests in Morocco.

DLA Piper has consistently featured in AMIC's analysis of leading law firms operating in the PE and M&A arena and has regularly sought the participation of the firm in industry related discussions and events. At this year’s annual conference, Christophe Bachelet, DLA Piper’s Country Managing Partner for Morocco, moderated a panel discussing the methodology followed in the success stories of PE practice in Morocco.

Christophe Bachelet, commented: “We are honoured to receive this prestigious award and look forward to contributing further to the continued growth of the PE and M&A market in Morocco. What was evident from the discussion at this year’s annual conference, was the importance of collaboration between all stakeholders involved in a deal and beyond. It is an honour and testament to our extensive experience that we are involved in so many landmark deals in Morocco and across the African continent and that we are able to support the PE and M&A market in this way.”
