On the lender side, we are experienced in syndicated credit lines for REITs and private equity funds, debt securitizations, credit lease transactions, repurchase loan facilities, warehouse loan facilities, construction and development loan facilities, and conduit financing. We work in conventional, construction and permanent lending, convertible mortgage lending, participating mortgage lending, conduit programs, and securitized financings.

Our lawyers also bring experience in preferred equity and mezzanine loan transactions, and represent investors making joint venture investments with real estate owners and developers, banks, insurance companies, pension funds, and others. We help clients with the origination of loans for securitized pools, review of disclosure documents, and participating in the structuring of REMIC and FASIT transactions.

  • Aareal Bank on the provision of a complex debt facility of up to EUR800 million with a five-year term to certain funds affiliated with Apollo Global Management LLC, (NYSE:APO) (together with its consolidated subsidiaries “Apollo”) for the financing of a pan-European portfolio of logistics properties. The tailor-made facility provides stability, security and flexibility for Apollo’s growing and diverse pan-European logistics portfolio.
  • Market Tech Holdings on a GBP900 million debt facility secured against 14 acres of iconic London real estate assets, including the main Camden Markets, with digital capabilities to deliver commercial, residential, living, leisure and retail space.
  • A US national lender in its USD915 million mortgage loan secured by 100 properties located in California, Texas, Georgia, Illinois, Washington, Virginia, Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Utah.
  • An institutional investor consortium made up of Ascent Real Estate Investors, Partners Group, Sigma Delta Partners Investment and the Family Office Company on the financing of its USD1.34 billion acquisition of Dinghao Electronics Plaza, a landmark mixed-use office and retail complex located in Zhongguancun, Beijing.
  • UBS Real Estate Securities, Inc. on a USD114 million loan to the investment partnership led by the Zar Group to purchase 1450 Broadway (New York) for USD204 million.
  • An insurance company as lender in a USD352 million construction loan secured by 22 existing buildings and will provide construction financing for two additional buildings on land sites adjacent to existing buildings. The buildings securing the loan are located across six states in the Midwest, Southwest, and Southeast.
  • A lender in a USD325.2 million loan secured by 24 industrial properties located in 12 states in the US. The loan was syndicated with two additional lenders.
  • Fortress Investment Group LLC in connection with the acquisition of shares and management rights in a number fund vehicles and owned by Colony Capital. The acquired interests were in non-digital real estate positions with a total consideration of USD535 million subject to adjustments, approximately 40 positions encompassing over 100 properties in Europe and the US.
  • Aareal Bank AG on a EUR1 billon pan‐European real estate financing to Invesco. The facility included an initial loan of EUR580 million which has been used to refinance a portfolio of properties located in UK, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland.
  • A global investment bank, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations and Bank of America Merrill Lynch International Limited on their financing of Tottenham Hotspur’s multi -purpose, 61,500 seat stadium. The financing package consists of a GBP400 million development term loan and a GBP25 million revolving credit facility.
  • Qatari Diar Europe LLP in connection with securing a construction finance facility to redevelop 30 Grosvenor Square in London, the former US Embassy to the UK.
  • Oxford Properties as sponsor on the acquisition financing of a portfolio of logistics and warehousing properties in Denmark. The facilities were provided by Morgan Stanley and used to acquire the Sky portfolio of 27 properties based across Denmark comprising 223,800 sqm of floor space.
  • Aareal Bank AG in its over EUR1 billion refinancing of credit facilities with respect to two pan-European real estate funds managed by Invesco.
