Czech Republic ratifies Double Tax Treaty with UAE

On 18 December 2023, the Czech Republic has ratified the Double Tax Treaty (DTT) between the UAE and the Czech Republic. We will report on further developments as they occur.

 

UAE Cabinet approves Double Tax Treaty with Guyana

On 10 December 2023, the UAE Cabinet approved the Guyana – UAE DTT. Further developments will be reported as and when they occur.

 

Switzerland approves Protocol of the Double Tax Treaty with the UAE

On 14 December 2023, the Swiss Council of States approved the Protocol to the Swiss-UAE DTT, amending certain provision of the treaty. We will report on further developments as they occur.

 

The UAE signs a Double Tax Treaty with Cuba

On 29 November 2023, Cuba and the UAE have signed a DTT. Further developments will be reported as and when they occur.

 

Saudi Arabian Council of Ministers authorizes DTT with Oman

On 9 January 2024, the Saudi Arabian Council of Ministers authorized the signing of a DTT with Oman. We will report on further developments as they occur.

 

Oman – Russia Double Tax Treaty enters into force

28 December 2023, the Oman – Russia DTT entered into force. The DTT generally applies from 1 January 2024. Please see earlier coverage on the Oman – Russia DTT for more details on this treaty.

 

Qatar Cabinet approves the Double Tax Treaty with Egypt

On 10 January 2024, the Qatari Cabinet approved the Qatar – Egypt DTT. Further developments will be reported as and when they occur.

 

Austria authorizes signing of Protocol to the Double Tax Treaty with Qatar

On 29 November 2023, the Austrian Council of Ministers authorized the signing of the Protocol to the Austrian-Qatar DTT, amending certain provision of the treaty. We will report on further developments as they occur.

 

Conclusion

The GCC Member States continue expanding and updating their Double Tax Treaty networks for the benefit of international businesses.
