Michael Ostrove recognised in Jeune Afrique's Top 100 lawyers in francophone Africa

DLA Piper’s Litigation & Regulatory partner, Michael Ostrove, has once again been recognised in Jeune Afrique’s prestigious top 100 business lawyers in Francophone Africa ranking.

Based in Paris and Global Co-Chair of DLA Piper’s International Arbitration practice, Michael is ranked for the sixth consecutive year. The ranking is testament to his significant experience dealing with complex international arbitration matters on the continent. Michael led the DLA Piper team advising the Republic of Guinea on its successful case against international diversified mining company, BSGR, over claims relating to the world’s largest iron deposit, Simandou, located in southern Guinea's Nzérékoré Region. With the landmark award issued on 18 May 2022, the case has been described by many as one of the most complex arbitrations in Africa’s history. Read our press release here.
