Four partners recognised in wind industry Legal Power List 2022
The Legal Power List 2022, which showcases the 100 most influential lawyers working in the global wind industry, and is published annually by A Word About Wind, has recognised four DLA Piper partners for their work over the previous year. Recognised in the list are: Global Co-Chair of the Energy and Natural Resources sector, Natasha Luther-Jones; Global Co-Chair of the Infrastructure, Construction and Transport sector, Martin Nelson-Jones; Country Managing Partner for Germany, Dr Benjamin Parameswaran; and Mauricio Halpern, Partner from Chile.
In the fourth edition of the ranking, Natasha Luther-Jones was recognised for her work on transactions, regularly advising on developments, project financings, acquisitions and sales of wind farms across EMEA. Benjamin Parameswaran was recognised for his role advising BASF on the acquisition of 49.5% of Vattenfall’s offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust Zuid in The Netherlands. Both Martin Nelson-Jones and Mauricio Halpern were recognised for their key roles advising Innergex Renewable Energy Inc on the GBP506 million acquisition of Aela Generación S.A. and Aela Energía SpA, a 332 MW portfolio of wind assets in Chile.
The Legal Power List 2022 inclusions closely follow DLA Piper’s success at this year’s Wind Investment Awards, where it was named Global Law Firm of the Year, and for funning the ESG Initiative of the Year, as well as being commended for its work in Africa.
