DLA Piper shortlisted for five Financial Times 2025 North America Innovative Lawyer awards

DLA Piper is pleased to announce it has been shortlisted by the Financial Times in five North America Innovative Lawyer award categories, including Most Innovative Law Firm in North America.

DLA Piper was shortlisted in the Innovation in AI Strategy category for its transformative use of Microsoft 365 Copilot to redesign legal workflows, automate routine tasks, and support the delivery of client services with unprecedented speed, security, and precision.

The firm was also shortlisted in the Innovation in New Legal Products category in recognition of its development of a unique framework for AI governance that uses both generative AI and human legal analysis to address the lack of consistent legal standards for AI.

DLA Piper earned a spot on the Innovation in People Strategy shortlist for its creation of groundbreaking programs that offer financial assistance and mentoring to college athletes and military veterans considering a career in law.

Finally, Robyn Spanier, the firm’s Executive Director of New Business Intake and Procurement, was shortlisted in the Innovation in Strategic Direction category for her role revolutionizing the firm’s new business intake process, leading to market-leading turnaround times for running conflict searches and processing new matters.

This year’s North America Innovative Lawyer awards ceremony will be held in New York on December 8. For the past eight years, DLA Piper has been recognized by the Financial Times as one of the top legal innovators in North America.
