Joshua Kane focuses his practice on international commercial arbitration. He has represented private corporations and state-owned entities in connection with international arbitrations under the leading institutional and ad hoc arbitration rules, including those of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).  Mr. Kane’s experience includes disputes in the manufacturing, mining, and construction sectors.

  • Mr. Kane is part of the team representing the transportation ministry of a large Middle Eastern country in an ICC arbitration arising out of the termination of an €800 million EPC contract for the upgrade of a metro-rail system.
  • Mr. Kane is part of the team representing a state-owned mining company in a US$300 million breach-of-contract dispute under ad-hoc arbitration rules.
  • Mr. Kane is part of the team representing a Latin American clothing manufacturer in a US$45 million dispute with its former distributor in Hong Kong, under ICDR arbitration rules.
