Lola is a corporate lawyer who advises clients on a broad range of matters including investment funds management, commercial, contract, and trust law.

Lola is a member of a Tier 1 Investment Funds practice, as ranked by Legal 500. Lola has a strong commercial acumen and pragmatism. Lola has advised a spectrum of different private and public sector entities, including listed companies, local government, trustees, and investment fund managers.

Lola also has experience in a range of corporate and commercial projects including asset sale and purchases, share buybacks, privacy & data protection, charity establishment, and trust wind-ups.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advised on the corporatisation of a group of related entities, including the sale and purchase of assets, the buyback of shares and general company law requirements.
  • Assisted Simplicity in establishing Simplicity Living, a build to rent housing programme alongside major home builder NZ Living.
  • Assisted with various aspects of the sale of a funds management business.
  • Advised a Fund Manager on the offering of a new and novel product to retail investors.
  • Advised a Local Government on service supply agreements and terms and conditions for its environmental restoration initiatives.
  • Advised a Local Government on funding agreements to housing providers as part of its development of affordable housing solutions.
  • Advised on the regulatory aspects for the creation and implementation of a crowdfunding platform.
