DLA Piper bolsters Investment Management & Funds practice with the appointment of Oliver Crowley

Joining the firm’s London office as a partner, Oliver brings over 15 years of industry experience advising financial institutions, pension funds, fund-of-funds, development finance institutions, and fund managers on private market strategies and regulatory frameworks. He specialises in LP-side fund investment work, having supported institutional investors in deploying over USD25 billion in capital across hundreds of fund commitments globally. He also advises on feeder/access structures and GP-side mandates, providing him with a comprehensive perspective across the entire fund ecosystem.

Alongside his legal practice, Oliver is known for bringing an innovative, data-driven mindset to fund advisory. He has played a leading role in the development of technology solutions to streamline due diligence, optimise fund documentation review, and extract actionable insights from complex legal data, all areas of increasing strategic importance to our clients.

His arrival significantly strengthens DLA Piper’s global IM&F platform, expanding our capabilities in LP advisory, cross-border structuring, and tech-enabled legal delivery.

Oliver’s arrival supports DLA Piper’s growth strategy and significantly strengthens its global IM&F bench strength, expanding capabilities in LP advisory, cross-border structuring, and tech-enabled legal delivery.  This appointment follows that of Soumitro Mukerji in Singapore and Koji Yamamoto and Yoshiyuki Omori, along with their team in Tokyo.

Oliver’s appointment is part of a broader strategic expansion of DLA Piper’s IM&F practice and reach across key locations, which in the past 12 months has welcomed Koji Yamamoto and Yoshiyuki Omori and their team in Tokyo, Soumitro Mukerji in Singapore, Jon Ireland in Sydney, and Diane Campion de Poligny in Paris.
