Robert Tang is an English qualified litigation senior consultant in DLA Piper's Bangkok office. His main areas of practice are corporate / commercial litigation and arbitration and non-marine insurance and reinsurance disputes. He has a particular focus on property and casualty claims (i.e. D&O, TPL and FIPI), facultative and treaty disputes and multi-party and cross-border disputes.

He advises on matters in relation to (re)insurance coverage issues with a particular focus on property and financial lines, cyber-security (including acting for companies following a cyber-attack), regulatory investigations and foreign investment disputes (including advising states and private parties on bilateral investment treaties disputes). He has advised and acted for multinational and local companies in the insurance, hospitality and leisure, energy, banking and finance and aviation sectors.

He is experienced in ad-hoc arbitration as well as arbitration under the auspices of the ICC, Court of Arbitration, SIAC, LCIA, TAI and the Thai Office of Insurance Commission. He is also a keen advocate of alternative methods of dispute resolution and has participated in mediation and Early Neutral Evaluation procedures.
