Navigating US Trade Compliance in 2025: CFIUS, Export Controls, Tariffs and Mitigation Strategy

On July 29, 2025, DLA Piper Israel partnered with the Association of General Counsel Israel Chapter to host a timely webinar for Israeli companies titled, “Navigating US Trade Compliance in 2025: CFIUS, Export Controls, Tariffs and Mitigation Strategy.” The session featured DLA colleagues Nicholas Klein, Brian Janovitz, and Andrew Bisbas, with introductions by Yehudah Gordon (Director, Tel Aviv) and Ora David Margalit, Lead Counsel at Nokia Israel.

The webinar included an investment security update focused on CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States) and OISP (Outbound Investment Security Program) risk and mitigation; an outline of recent changes to export controls; an overview of the current US tariff landscape and what Israeli companies could expect moving forward; and a discussion around tariff mitigation strategies and techniques. Content was detailed, comprehensive, and actionable, and the webinar generated some great questions.
