The post-PAGA amendment landscape: New risks and opportunities for California employers

A CLE webinar

Wednesday, May 7, 2025

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm ET
1:00 pm – 2:00 pm CT
11:00 am – 12:00 pm PT

In July 2024, California Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation reforming California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). That Act has historically created enormous exposure for technical violations of the state’s Labor Code.

Many employers hoped that the amendments would lead to fewer filings and narrow the range of alleged violations in PAGA lawsuits, but that outcome remains elusive. Meanwhile, employers face new risks under the law.

Join our California wage and hour partners as they review the current landscape. Topics will include:

  • PAGA litigation trends
  • The impact of key reforms, including how caps on potential penalties can work to both reduce and amplify risk
  • Measures to reduce PAGA risk, including audits
  • Other California wage and hour developments

We hope to see you there.

The webinar will not be recorded or shared after the session has ended.
