The new framework of the Italian dispute board
Dispute boards are used successfully on international construction projects with the purpose of reducing the number of disputes that may arise during the execution of works. Italy has waited before introducing such an instrument in the sector of public procurement and construction works. Now, with the enactment of the law decree Semplificazioni, the Italian government has finally introduced a clear regulation which will hopefully strengthen the implementation of the dispute board mechanism within the Italian legal system.
