DLA Piper appoints Head of International financial lines insurance disputes

DLA Piper announces the appointment of Jane Childs to its specialist Insurance & Reinsurance Disputes team within its Litigation & Regulatory practice in London. She will head up a newly created international team of specialists focused on financial lines insurance disputes and joins on 16 October from Mayer Brown where she has been a partner for 14 years.

Jane is a leading practitioner in international financial lines insurance claims and disputes and has served the London and international insurance markets with distinction for many years. Jane’s naturally collaborative approach and reputation for technical excellence and first-rate client service has enabled her to build a strong and long term client following. She is also well-known for advising clients on trade credit insurance in receivables securitisation programmes and pensions longevity insurance transactions.

Jane joins a Litigation & Regulatory practice that is already well established in the global insurance markets with specialists in the UK, US, Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. As a leading lawyer in the financial lines insurance sector, Jane’s appointment is both a reflection of the firm’s increasingly strong profile in this important global sector and its ambition to develop its international offering still further, with the highest quality client relationships, mandates and people.
