Stefanie Fogel named to the National Law Journal's 2020 list of Cannabis Law Trailblazers

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Stefanie Fogel, global co-chair of the firm’s Consumer Goods, Food and Retail sector, has been named a 2020 Cannabis Law Trailblazer by the National Law Journal.

The publication highlighted Fogel’s creation of the firm’s hemp sector working group, which helps clients navigate hemp-related laws and regulations on the federal, state and local levels, as well as her work with companies looking to enter the food and supplement space with hemp-based CBD products.

Fogel, who is also co-chair of DLA Piper’s US Food and Beverage sub-sector, focuses her practice on multi-national food and consumer product regulation and compliance, food and consumer product recall response, corporate compliance, and commercial, class action and multi-plaintiff litigation. She works with large multinationals and start-ups in trending areas of the food and supplement space to include plant-based alternatives and hemp-based CBD products. She represents national and international manufacturers of foods and dietary supplements, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, retail clothing, manufacturing equipment, chemical products, bio-technology detection devices and a variety of consumer products. Fogel serves as a national and international advisor to these clients in the areas of supply chain integrity and management, product safety, integration of technology and innovative solutions, cross-border distribution and enforcement, crisis management response, and industry trends.
