DLA Piper advises Space Capital on investment in technology start-up bliq

DLA Piper has advised US venture capital investor Space Capital on its investments in German technology start-up, bliq. The investment was part of bliq’s Series Seed 2 financing round.

New York-based Space Capital is an early stage venture capital firm investing in the space economy, specifically focused on unlocking the value in space technology stacks such as GPS, geospatial intelligence, and communications. Space Capital is actively investing out of its second fund and manages over USD 45 million in assets. The fund has stakes in nearly three dozen space companies, including investments in Planet and SpaceX.

Bliq GmbH is a technology and software developer. With headquarters in Berlin, the company develops app-based assistants for rideshare & delivery drivers.

Space Capital was advised by Hamburg-based Corporate partner Dr Benjamin Parameswaran and counsel Dr Philipp Clemens.
