DLA Piper advises Life Healthcare Group on the sale of Polish healthcare firm Scanmed

DLA Piper has advised the Life Healthcare Group on the sale of 100% shares in Poland-based healthcare network operator Scanmed S.A. to Abris CEE Mid-Market III LP, a fund managed by Abris Capital Partners for 340m Polish zloty (EUR76m). The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2021.

The Life Healthcare Group islisted on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and is one of the largest hospital groups in the country and has more than 32 years’ experience in the private healthcare industry. It forms part of the Alliance Medical Group, a leading European independent provider of imaging services with operations in ten countries.

For more than a decade, Scanmed has offered its patients access to comprehensive treatment methods, technologically advanced and high-quality medical equipment and experienced specialists to facilitate their recovery. The company operates in 42 locations across Poland, providing primary healthcare and specialist consultations, advanced diagnostics and hospital treatment.
