Katrina Edgerton-McGhan named a 2020 Lexpert Rising Star

DLA Piper (Canada) LLP is pleased to announce that Katrina Edgerton-McGhan from the firm's Calgary ‎office has been named a ‎‎2020 Lexpert Rising Star.‎

Katrina has built a prominent commercial litigation practice focussing in high dollar value or high ‎complexity courtroom or regulatory ‎legal disputes and has been at the forefront of significant decisions ‎in a number of important cases recently‎. To date, Katrina has over 15 precedent setting decisions in her ‎career and many other unpublished ‎decisions‎. ‎

A prolific and industrious supporter of diversity and equity initiatives in the business and legal ‎professions, among other appointments, Katrina is Board Chair of the non-profit Women + Power ‎Electricity ‎Society which supports the advancement of women in the electricity industry, she is the  ‎Director of Communications for Help with Debt (Alberta), which provides free and fair information and ‎legal advice for Albertans facing foreclosure and bankruptcy in the pandemic, and is a Law Society of ‎Alberta appointee to the Law Society’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion ‎Advisory Committee. ‎
