DLA Piper recognized in Chambers Global 2021 for International & Cross-Border Capabilities in Brazil and Colombia

DLA Piper is pleased to announce that the firm has been recognized by Chambers Global 2021 in the “International & Cross-Border Capabilities” category for both Brazil and Colombia.

In this category, Chambers highlights the law firms that are “the best and most user-friendly to work with when matters involve international aspects, acting as an overview of the services on offer for clients in need of internationally-oriented advice.”

Campos Mello Advogados, which has a cooperation agreement with DLA Piper, was recognized in Band 4 for Brazil. According to Chambers Global, sources found that Campos Mello Advogados “has extensive knowledge on issues that involve more than one jurisdiction” and “is accustomed to dealing with disputes that involve not only Brazilian law,” and that DLA Piper’s international network allows for “an integrated approach to an array of transactional and contentious proceedings.”

DLA Piper Martinez Beltrán received a Spotlight ranking for Colombia. Sources noted that the firm is “very efficient in coordinating advice, involving offices both across Central America and in offshore jurisdictions.” Chambers Global named the firm's “burgeoning transactional capabilities,” “strong, modern approach” and “recent hires of talented up-and-coming partners in the areas of corporate law and tax” among its strengths.

“While executing our growth strategy for DLA Piper Latin America, we have maintained a strong commitment to building enduring client relationships across borders, and we are pleased that this strategy has been recognized by our peers, clients and Chambers Global,” said Richard Chesley, co-US managing partner of DLA Piper.
