DLA Piper advises apoprojekt on the acquisition of Planungsgruppe Schneider & Partner
DLA Piper has advised apoprojekt GmbH on the acquisition of Planungsgruppe Schneider & Partner Beratende Ingenieure mbH. The locations in Kamp-Lintfort and Düsseldorf were taken over on 1st January 2022. The engineering office for technical building equipment (TGA) with about 40 employees will act as an independent sister company in the future and thus continue to realise projects independently, but also extend the competence of apoprojekt.
The aim of apoprojekt is to become the leading contact for integrated project management (design & build) in existing buildings. In order to meet the resulting demand for planning and consulting, the company focuses, among other things, on the expansion of the TGA competence.
The engineering firm, which will operate under the name Schneider Ingenieure GmbH in the future, specialises in sanitary, heating, ventilation, control and electrical engineering. It works for commercial, business, office and industrial properties as well as municipal and industrial buildings.
apoprojekt is a project manager responsible for designing, fitting, and building office space for real estate owners. The company has six offices in Germany covering all regions. With more than 450 employees, the company has recently generated annual revenues of EUR300 million.
The DLA Piper team was led by partners Dr Benjamin Parameswaran and Sebastian Decker (both Corporate/M&A) and included partners Dr Henriette Norda (Employment), Verena Grentzenberg (IPT/Data Protection, all Hamburg) and Dr Andreas Meyer-Landrut (Corporate, Cologne), senior associates Sophie von Mandelsloh (Corporate/M&A, Hamburg) and Dr Christopher Scholz (Corporate, Cologne) as well as associate David Sanchio Schele (IPT/Data Protection, Hamburg).
