DLA Piper appoints a new partner to its Finance, Projects and Restructuring Practice

Following the addition of several appointments to DLA Piper’s Finance, Projects and Restructuring (FP&R) practice group; DLA Piper today announces its latest new hire, Louise Hennessey, who will join as partner in the London-based Capital Markets team.

Louise joins from Allen & Overy, where she spent over 11 years based in Singapore and London, most recently as counsel. She has worked on a broad range of debt capital markets products and matters, with a particular focus on emerging market and social housing bond issues.

At DLA Piper, Louise will use her experience and knowledge, along with the firm’s extensive regional and international network, to advise clients and organisations on a range of transactions, working with other practice group and sector teams, including the firm’s real estate, corporate, financial regulatory and tax teams.

Beyond client work, Louise is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and was chair of her previous firm’s gender equality network. She has also acted on a number of pro bono matters during her career.

Matt Christmas, UK Group Head, Finance, FP&R, commented: “As we look to realise our growth ambitions, we are pleased to announce Louise’s appointment to our Capital Markets team in London. With a strong track record, Louise brings a wealth of experience, industry insights, and a proactive approach that will aid DLA Piper’s clients in a range of sectors and across practice groups. Alongside an impressive portfolio, Louise is keenly interested in areas such as DEI, which are extremely important to DLA Piper as a values-led organisation.”
