DLA Piper advises Barloworld on ZAR23 billion offer
DLA Piper has advised Barloworld, a South African industrial processing, distribution, and services company with a focus on industrial equipment and services, and food and ingredient solutions, on a c. ZAR23 billion cash offer to Barloworld shareholders by a consortium of investors. Transaction circular is available here.
A team from DLA Piper's Johannesburg office worked on the transaction led by Johannes Gouws (Country Managing Partner) and Peter Bradshaw (Corporate Location Head). They were supported by corporate directors Jonathan Singh and Lorica Elferink and competition director Werner Rysbergen. Other core team members included Senior Associate Zama Shoba, Associate Dharshini Naidoo, and Associate Designate Nicole Sentoo.
