DLA Piper appoints Petr Souček, strengthening Prague Litigation and Regulatory team
The Prague office of global law firm DLA Piper has expanded its Litigation, Insolvency and Regulatory practice with the arrival of experienced lawyer Petr Souček, who joins the team as Counsel.
Petr brings nearly 15 years of experience, having worked primarily at international law firms advising both local and international clients. He focuses on dispute resolution, including litigation and arbitration, and has significant experience in financial restructuring, insolvency proceedings, corporate compliance and regulatory matters.
“I greatly value the opportunity to join DLA Piper. I was drawn to the firm’s strong global brand and its growing presence not only in the Czech market but also across the wider Central and Eastern Europe region. I look forward to contributing to the firm’s collaborative culture, deep sector knowledge, and global reach,” said Petr Souček.
“In the coming years, we intend to increase our focus on cross-border disputes, which are in growing demand not only in the Czech Republic but across the region. We believe this trend will continue, so we’re delighted to welcome such a well-established practitioner to our team,” said Miroslav Dubovský, Country Managing Partner of DLA Piper in Prague. “Petr’s background and skills will help us further develop our litigation and regulatory offering and expand our insolvency-related services to support a growing number of clients,” he added.
Petr is a registered arbitrator with the Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic. He’s also a member of the Czech Bar Association’s Private Law Section.
