Felipe Bahamondez, founding partner at DLA Piper (Chile), focuses on corporate law, energy, natural resources and gas law as well as regulatory and competition law.

He has participated in such transactions as the design and legal execution of the first gas pipeline in Chile, the development of several projects of gas pipelines and LNG terminals, several projects related to energy including renewable energy, multiple financings and M&A transactions involving local or multinational companies.

Earlier in his career, he worked with a major Chilean law firm and, before that, with the Inter-American Investment Corporation at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC. He was a Professor of Commercial Law at the School of Law of Pontificia Universidad Católica from 2000-2012, has been Professor of Renewable Energies and Director of the Diploma on Environmental Laws and Sustainable Development at the School of Law of Pontificia Universidad Católica since 2012 and Professor of Professional Ethics at the LL.M-UC since 2015.
